The Department of Technology offers students a four-year Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology in the following sequences: Construction Management, Graphic Communications, Industrial Computer Systems,and Integrated Manufacturing Systems. We also offer a four-year Bachelor of Science in Renewable Energy and Technology Education.

The department is comprised of 25 faculty members and approximately 500 students majoring in one of five sequences. Classes range from 20–30 students and have many activity-oriented laboratory assignments. The department has an approximate 98 percent placement rate and offers a Career Day for our students. Our computer network has over 200 computers with modern, state-of-the-art equipment in our classrooms and laboratories. Our students have the opportunity to do an internship or a co-op experience while here at Illinois State University. The department also offers scholarships for students who meet eligibility requirements.
Illinois State University is located in Bloomington-Normal, Ill., which is about 135 miles from Chicago, Rockford, and the Quad Cities and about 165 miles from St. Louis. The University has approximately 20,000 students and 1,000 faculty members. There are over 160 major and minor programs from which to choose.
