uality management is comprised of all the activities that determine quality policies, objectives, and responsibilities, and then implements them by means of quality planning, quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement within the overall organizational quality system.

Quality management is viewed as a generalized skill set that is sought after in both private industry and government agencies alike.

The graduate quality management courses in the Department of Technology are designed to prepare technical-oriented managerial professionals for entry into the fast growing ranks of quality systems planners, quality assurance and quality control managers. This sequence is intended to help the technical manager begin to understand the processes and knowledge areas that are common to all quality systems.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT COURSE OFFERINGS

NOTE:  These courses provide the basic foundations and entry-level requirements for those students wishing to pursue the American Society ofr Quality Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA), and the Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) examinations. Each will provide more than 40 contact hours of basic education on quality management related concepts, tools, techniques and methodologies. To assure that state-of-the-art practices are introduced, all courses follow the respective Bodies of Knowledge (BoK) as determined by the American Society for Quality.
