dmission to the Department of Technology

Currently Enrolled Illinois State Students

If you are interested in changing your major to construction management, graphic communications, industrial computer systems, integrated manufacturing systems, renewable energy or technology education you must:

Be in good academic standing at Illinois State University
Check with the Department of Technology at (309) 438-2665 for specifics for entrance into the department
Have at least a 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA for Technology Education.
Have at least a 2.0 minimum cumulative GPA for consideration for all other areas (for specifics please contact the department).
Complete an APPLICATION FOR CHANGE OF MAJOR by either viewing and printing the application form or by visiting Turner Hall, room 210. A copy of your Academic Progress Summary from Moulton Hall, room 107 is required to complete the application.
Make an appointment with the Department of Technology Advisors to review your application and write up a plan of study, sign up for an appointment in Turner Hall, room 210.

The Advisement Office in the Department of Technology welcomes visits from currently enrolled Illinois State students at any time. If you have any questions/concerns do not hesitate to contact the office at either or 438-2665.

In order to maintain a balanced enrollment, the department may limit the number of students entering the program. We may not be able to admit all students who meet the minimum admission requirements.
