he Department of Technology takes great pride in helping students achieve academic and professional success. Resources are available to assist undergraduate students in their coursework. Listed in the left are several pages that might be of interest to you.

The information listed below will help you as you continue your coursework in the Department of Technology.

Registering Each Semester:

Each semester students will need to check ICampus for their registration day and time.  The student should make an appointment with the advisor, if needed, to review their academic progress prior to registering.

ITnet User Maintenance:

When logging into Windows and the pie chart is full or user cannot save to the "I" drive:

Printing Funds in Turner Hall:

An ITnet user can only check available printing accounts while logged onto a computer in one of the Turner Hall computer labs.

  1. Click the start button at the bottom left of your screen.
  2. Choose programs.
  3. Choose Check Printing Fees located at the bottom of the list of available programs.
  4. A blue screen will appear asking for the user name.
  5. Type in ITnet password and press Enter.
  6. Available funds in the ITnet printing account will be displayed.
  7. Refer to the instructions below in order to add money to your available funds.

Adding Funds To Your ITnet Account:

  1. ITnet users can pick up a Printing Account Slip on the table near the bulletin board in Turner Hall, room 134.
  2. Bring the filled out form and money to the Illinois State University Student Accounts Office.
  3. Bring the yellow copy back to Turner Hall, room 134 and put it in the red box by the bulletin board.
  4. The money will be added to your account and printing from this account will be available within the next 24 hours.

Transferring Courses Back to Illinois State University:

Information for students who started here as freshman and wish to take courses at a community college for transfer back to Illinois State can be found on the transfer web page.

Graduation Check List

Use the following checklist to make sure you're ready to graduate.

  • Constitution Exam:
    This exam is a requirement for graduation. The examination is administered on a number of dates each semester. Students should contact the University Testing Office, (309)-438-2100, located in Fell 346 regarding sign up, study guides, dates, time, and location.
  • Apply for Graduation/Commencement:
    Any student expecting to graduate by the end of the current semester must file an application for graduation by that semester's deadline. The deadline date can be found in the Class Registration Directory each semester. There is a $25 graduation fee payable upon filing of the application.  If you are planning on participating in the commencement ceremony you must also register for participation.  Please check the graduation services web site for further information.

Graduation / Commencement Ceremonies

Application for Graduation

During the early part or your senior year, submit an Application for Bachelors Degree. The deadline is specified in the Class Registration Directory and on the University Calendar. The student pays a $25 graduation fee when applying for graduation, unless the fee is covered by a state scholarship. The application form is available at either Registrar's Office or Student Accounts.

Undergraduate students completing degree requirements during the fall semester may participate in commencement ceremonies in December. Students completing degree requirements during the spring semester or at the close of the summer session may participate in commencement ceremonies in May.

Participation in commencement is voluntary. However, students planning to participate in commencement ceremonies MUST complete and submit the commencement Participation Form by the scheduled deadlines. Visit the Commencement Web Site for more information.
